Creating a backup file
Before deleting and reinstalling the Sports 4.7.x it's advised to create a backup file of the measurement database. It can be done with the 'System backup'.
To create the backup file, select 'Create backup file' and click 'Next'.
Save the backup file to a suitable location on your computer. If you are about to install the software to another computer, it might be good to save the file to a portable memory, for example to a flash drive.
When the file has been created, the software can be uninstalled. If you want to save the reports you have created and/or the files uploaded from your heart rate devices, copy also the Firstbeat Files folder from C:\\ drive to the portable memory drive.
Sports (4.7.x.) can be downloaded from Firsbeat websites. Note that in order to activate the software you will need a your activation key. If there are any problems with the activation, please send a message with your original activation key to Firstbeat Support.
Importing the backup file to a new computer
When Sports software has been installed and activated, you can import the backup file.
This time select 'File' ⟶ 'System backup' ⟶ 'Restore from backup' and click 'Next' to begin importing.
Search the time from your computer's drive, or the external drive if you used one. Importing the backup file may take several minutes depending on how big the backup file is.
When the backup has been successfully imported, you just need to reanalyze the measurements. A quick tool for this can be found from the Tool menu: 'Multianalysis'.
