Lifestyle Assessment professional users can create assessment for themselves to practise and to maintain their expertise. The process can be broken down into three parts: before measurement, during the measurement and after the measurement. Follow these steps to fully complete the professional user's own assessment. You can also find guidance for this from the Lifestyle Assessment's Learning Center.
Part One: Before the measurement
When in Lifestyle Assessment, select Individuals -> Professional user's own assessment.
If the assessment is your first the software will confirm if you want to create the assessment for yourself.
Click Yes to continue to assessment creation.
Add your assessment details to the following dialog. Enter your name and select the language. Add your email address and select the date you want to receive the journal link.
Notice that you can only use your own devices in your own assessments. Center service is not available in professional user's own assessments.
When you have selected the correct settings for the assessment, click Create button.
Next the process takes you to the Check device task. Connect your device to the USB port and click Check device button to prepare the device for the assessment.
NOTE! Do not do this step if you have already done the measurement. This feature clears the device memory and the recorded data can no longer be uploaded.
This check clears the device memory and sets the device clock to the correct time. It also check if the battery charge is enough for the assessment. Remember to charge the battery before starting the measurement.
When the device is successfully prepared, you will see the device ID and can proceed to the next step, which is measuring.
If preparing the device fails, it's most likely that the Uploader Plugin browser extension is missing from the browser. Without the Plugin the Lifestyle Assessment can't communicate with your device. In this case, see the article on how to install the Uploader Plugin.
Part Two: During the measurement
After the device check is complete you can start the measurement. Connect the device with the electrodes as instructed in the device instructions. You will receive the journal link to your email on that date you set to the assessment details. The journal message is sent from the email address service@firstbeat.fi.
Fill in the journal during your measurement. Add at least your sleeping times and work periods. You can add also other events based on your activities. The journal is saved automatically so even if you don't remember to save the added events will be there when you open the journal the next time.
Once you have completed the measurement you can set the journal as finished. Just click the Exit button and select that your journal is finished.
Part Three: After the measurement
After your measurement is finished you can upload it to the Lifestyle Assessment. So log in to the service with your username and password. Start by selecting the Individuals tab and then Professional user's own assessment. From the opening list select your current assessment.
Click the assessment from the list and click Select to open the assessment. The software opens the next unfinished task which now should be the Measurements task.
Connect your device to the USB port and click Load from Bodyguard 2 button to start the measurement upload.
The loading process starts. It might take a while depending how much data there is in the device memory.
The process uploads all the measurements from the device memory and places them to the assessment automatically. Once the loading process is finished the software confirms that the data has been uploaded, opens the Measurements view and you can see your heart rate chart.
If the journal events and the data is correct, proceed to the final step: creating the reports. Click the Reports task to proceed.
Check first the Report settings.
From the opening dialog select the suitable settings and the reports you want to create.
Remember to save your settings!
After the settings are all set click the Create reports button. Report creations might take a few minutes depending on how many days are printed to the reports. You can see the remaining number of the analyses from the progress popup.
After the analysis you might see other popups, like the notification of a new minimum or maximum heart rate. They are automatically updated to your profile, so click OK to proceed with the report creation. Below you can find an example of such info popup.
If you selected the Training effect report as an additional report you will get a dialog to select which training periods to include in the report. See an example of such dialog here:
After you have cleared all the additional popup the reports will be created. You can open or save the report from the opening list. Usually the browser provides these also automatically after the report is created.
If the report is not opened your browser might be blocking the popup windows. Please make sure to allow pop-ups from your browser settings.
Okay, your assessment is now ready and finished. You can close the assessment dialog by clicking the Close button from the top right corner of the view.
