The Sports Cloud can be used for creating and editing sessions that were created using the Live App or the Sports Monitor.
Note: Premium and Premium+ customers can create an unlimited amount of sessions. Standard Firstbeat Sports customers can edit sessions created using the Live app but can’t add new sessions via the Sports Cloud. The Sports Cloud also automatically creates sessions for athletes that have overlapping data. All Sports Cloud users can automatically edit created sessions. |
To add a new session, click the plus icon.
To edit an existing session, select the session then click the cog-wheel icon next to the session button.
Sports Cloud session editing dialog allows you to set the start and end times, select sport type, and athletes included in the session. HR chart lines are shown to help you set the start and end times by showing when athletes were active.
Automated reporting
-
An automated group report is sent when data from all the athletes included in the session is available in the Sports Cloud (downloaded from Sports Sensors and synced from the Live app to the Sports Cloud). Check your reporting settings if you do not receive the report.
-
Data later received by the Sports Cloud is automatically added to the session.
Sessions vs. Laps
You can create laps within a session to drill down into the details of your recorded training session.
Sessions are meant for managing the time frame/duration and participants of a training session whereas laps are suitable for analyzing the actual content of the sessions.
Differences:
-
Dedicated reports are available for sessions (group reports) but not for laps (no dedicated lap reports). Note: Laps are visible in athlete training reports.
-
Unlike for sessions, all variables are not calculated for laps (e.g. Training Effect).
-
Currently, session data is available via Sports Cloud API but laps are not.
