In this article we have listed the devices compatible with Firstbeat Athlete software. Compatibility means that the devices is able to record heart rate variability (R-R interval data) and the measurements can be uploaded to the Athlete software.
- Firstbeat Bodyguard 1
- Forerunner 620, 630
- Forerunner 920xt
- Forerunner 235 (only the measurements created with a heart rate strap)
- Forerunner 735xt
- Forerunner 935
- fenix 3 (all versions)
- feni5 (all versions)
- Edge 520*
- Edge 820**
- Edge 1000
- Edge 1030
Before the measurements from these Garmin devices can be uploaded and analyzed in Sports, they need to be set to record heart rate variability data (R-R data). You can see the instructions how to set that up from here. Note that the Fenix5, Forerunner 935 and Edge 1030 have a "Log HRV" feature in the device settings, so you don't need any additional settings file to set on the heart rate variability recording. You can just turn on the "Log HRV" setting and the device starts to record the HRV data.
*Garmin Edge 520 with the firmware version 12.10 or above does not allow measurement upload to Firstbeat software.
**Garmin Edge 820 with the firmware version 8 or above does not allow measurement upload to Firstbeat software.
- Ambit 1, 2, and 3 (all versions)
- T6 series
- PC POD
Measurements created with Suunto Ambit and Spartan devices are uploaded via Movescount.com service. You can check how that is done from here. Note that you need to use a heart rate strap with the devices when recording so that you will also get the heart rate variability data.
